Flydubai joins Imtyazat Program, offering exclusive discounts to Federal Government employees

Wednesday February 14, 2018

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has announced that flydubai has joined the list of government and private sector companies and organizations offering exclusive discounts to Federal Government employees and their families under employee discount program Imtyazat.

Shedding more light on the announcement, Al Marzouqi, Director of Government Communications, FAHR, explained that Flydubai will offer Federal Government employees and their families a discount of up to 10% on Economy Class and Business Class flights to any destination on the airline's international network.

He added that membership of Flydubai in the Federal Government's key employee benefits program represents a qualitative addition to the program and confirms beyond doubt a growing tendency among companies of different business sectors to join the program. “The companies themselves benefit a great deal from the promotional opportunities the program provides, to offer their goods and services for Federal Government employees”, he noted.

Al Marzouqi revealed that the Authority receives daily many requests from private sector companies to join Imtyazat program, stating that the focus in this period is to diversify the business sectors of these companies to add quality to services provided to Federal Government employees. He called on private sector institutions wishing to join Imtyazat to register through the Authority's website www.fahr.gov.ae.

He said: “It should be noted that the Authority coordinates with the local business community to build partnerships with commercial and service companies to secure special discounts for Federal Government employees and their families, in the form of reduced prices on goods and services.

“Imtyazat initiative was mainly aimed at raising the levels of job satisfaction and happiness, increasing workplace harmony, boosting productivity among the Federal Government employees, enhancing competitiveness of the UAE Federal Government to become a preferred destination for talent”.

Director of Government Communications thanked all the partners of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources generally, and the sponsors of Imtyazat program in particular: OSN, Commercial Bank of Dubai, Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat), National Bonds Corporation.

For his part, Mr. Hamad Obaidallah, Chief Commercial Officer, flydubai said: "We are delighted to support various government initiatives that serve Federal Government employees, including the provision of affordable travel services for all, in line with the company's strategy.

"Through this initiative, Federal Government employees will enjoy flydubai services and products and receive substantially reduced rates on travelling to more than 100 destinations in 46 countries around the world."

Obaidullah said flydubai seeks to remove travel barriers and promote cross-cultural connectivity across its growing network. He noted that since its launch in 2009, Dubai’s first low cost airline  has been able to access a network of more than 100 destinations, and operate a fleet of 61 Boeing 737-800s and Max 8, in addition to opening 70 destinations that were not connected to Dubai by direct airline, as the first Dubai- based carrier to reach so far.

He confirmed that the airline's flexibility and responsiveness has contributed to the economic development of Dubai, in line with the vision of the emirate's Government, and to enhance trade and tourism traffic with markets that have previously suffered from weak or lack of air links.
