How should I use keywords?

Use keywords that are as specific as possible. For example, if you want to search about a page, use the “word page” not “a pages” “and pages” etc…

Refine search results?

If you find that your search has returned too many results you might want to consider refining your search. You can refine your search by adding other keywords to your search or by using the handy keyword tool that can filter your results to make them more accurately reflect the information you are looking for. The filters can be found to the top of your results.

FAHR opens its new library within National Reading Month events

His Excellency Dr Abdulrahman Al Awar, Director General of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), recently opened the new Authority’s library, which includes a variety of books and magazines in various scientific, cultural and literary disciplines, in conjunction with and to support the National Reading Month celebrated in March every year.

In his speech during the opening ceremony, HE Dr Al Awar stressed the importance of reading in the development of employees’ skills and enhancing their productivity through increasing their job satisfaction, knowledge, as well as inspiring the to generate new ideas the work environment. “This will greatly help in the provision of quality services to customers, thereby contributing to the achievement of the aspirations and directives of the wise leadership embodied in the UAE Vision 2021 and national agenda”, he said.

He praised the great support given to reading by the UAE’s wise leadership, led by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who declared 2016 as Year of Reading, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, who directed to dedicate March every year as the National Reading Month.

HE Dr Al Awar said: “FAHR launched during the past period many initiatives and projects that primarily aim to entrench the culture of reading and knowledge dissemination among the staff to become a daily habit and lifestyle. The initiatives launched so far in this regard include Reading Club 2016, with the idea to organize a series of cultural events and scientific sessions intended to enrich employees’ knowledge and experience; and the Digital Library that allows employees to download their favourite books in various fields and disciplines, or share some useful books with each other.”
