The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) recently concluded a free training program entitled "Preparing Reports and Correspondences", which benefited dozens of officials from ministries and federal entities. The program was part of a series of free training courses offered by the FAHR under "Maárif" Initiative involving the Federal Government's preferred training partners.
The aim of the program, which was organized by the Authority at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi, in cooperation with AlMalki for Developing & Training, is to familiarize participants with elements, and forms of administrative reports, letters and memos, as well as skills of writing various correspondence, preparing good administrative reports and writing effective letters.
Participant of the program were familiarized with the skills that the report writer must possess, including: the ability to think logically, deductive reasoning and connecting between things, the ability to express and formulate, choosing appropriate words and expressions, as well as mastering grammar and spelling.
The program focused on a number of important topics such as characteristics of a good report, stages of preparation and writing, and formalities and elements of writing reports, such as type of paper, margins, spaces, fonts, spelling, and the skills of drafting the official letters.
