The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) recently held a 2-day free training workshop entitled "Simplification of Work Procedures", which was attended by dozens of employees working in ministries and federal entities. The course was organized as part of a series of training courses offered free of charge by FAHR under "Ma’aref" initiative for the federal government’s preferred training partners, launched last year for the first time at the Federal Government level, to compile a list of the best training providers in the UAE and make it available to the federal ministries and authorities to take advantage of training programs at reduced rates or free of charge.
The main objective of the training workshop organized by FAHR at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi, in cooperation with Educators Consulting Center, was to introduce participants to modern techniques used in streamlining work processes, the basic concepts and steps in work simplification, use of flow charts, office layout charts and work distribution charts, simplification of work procedures and its role in increasing individual and organizational performance and productivity, and how to apply innovative mechanisms in order to reduce wastage in human effort, time, space and material.
The workshop addressed a number of topics, including: the concept of career development: its dimensions and importance, fundamental concept of performance management, business process re-engineering, requirements of successful business improvement and development plans, and how to formulate the final improvement and development plan, as well as ways to develop employees and upgrading their abilities and skills.
