FAHR Issues Its Annual Report for 2015

HE. Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Director General of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) stated that the human capital constitutes the main pillar for a sustainable comprehensive development process and the axis of real knowledge economy, for which the state of the United Arab Emirates aspires. He indicated that the year 2015 was a year for innovation,creative achievements, excellence and leadership, not only at the level of the authority but also at the level of the state in general and the federal government in particular, especially in areas of human capital development and growth.

In the context of commenting on the issuance of the FAHR annual achievements report for the year 2015, he went on to say that,the authority is working on the establishment of a new work culture within the federal government. This would contribute to the growth and development of the human capital through putting in place a number of legislations, regulations, policies and integrated solutions for human resources along the best global practices. The authority will give the necessary support to federal ministries to implement these newly introduced developments, which will result in the highest possible productivity increase and job satisfaction within a healthy and stimulating work environment in accordance with sound scientific bases. 

Al Awar went on to state that “each new year comes with its new revived hopes and ambitions dictated by the vision and aspirations of our wise leadership in their unceasing quest for remaining at the top sustaining high levels of competitiveness and global leadership. We hope this new year will witness more accomplishments and launching creative initiatives, regulations and solutions that will empower federal government employees at all levels and bring happiness and satisfaction to all.” 

He mentioned that the UAE state would not have reached this international leadership position without the will of Allah and the directives and efforts of the wise leadership and their genuine concern with empowerment of national human capital, which is pivotal to any sustainable and comprehensive development process, which would help realize global competitiveness and leadership.

The Director General of FAHR extended his gratitude and thankfulness to the wise leadership of the UAE headed by His Highness, Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President, his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai and their brothers the rulers of the other emirates. He also expressed his gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minster of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the ministerial council for services for his unlimited support for FAHR in perfecting the implementation of the authority’s projects and strategic initiatives.

HE. Al Awar acclaimed the efforts and support of the strategic partners of the authority, particularly the ministries and federal and local entities and private sector corporates. The goal of these effortsis to realize the national interests and to serve the interests of the citizens.Ultimately, these efforts contribute to enhancing the reputable standing of the authority and realizing its goals and the human resources strategy in the federal government for the years 2014-2016 and UAE Vision 2021 to become one of the best countries in the world by 2021.

FAHR Report for 2015

The bilingual (English and Arabic) annual report of FAHR sheds light on the most prominent achievements, initiatives and projects of the authority during the last year in a very attractive manner in both soft and hard copies. It can be accessed on the authority’s website www.fahr.gov/ae.

The 212 page long report starts with a preface followed by stating the institutional ambition of FAHR, then a detailed presentation of the latest updates in institutional work and strategic projects launched by the authority during the last year in accordance with the Strategy for Human Resources in the Federal Government 2014-2016. It also sheds light on a large number of local activities, accomplishments and initiatives implemented during 2015, as well as an executive summary in English for all activities and initiatives.

By issuing this report, the authority hopes to sustain the process of enhancing performance, stand up to challenges and accomplish the set objectives and initiatives. FAHR will carry on implementing its activities reaching for the highest possible levels of distinguished functional performance and improvement of work environment in line with the rapid advancements in the sector of human resources on a global level.

The report is made public out of the desire on the part of the authority to entrench the principle of engagement and transparency.It constitutes a source of knowledge characterized by credibility, truthfulness, and a reference for specialists, as it is possible to access the treasure of knowledge embodied in the huge number of programs, policies, regulations, studies and initiatives through the official website of the authority www.fahr.gov.ae.
