The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources was part of the UAE delegation to the Libyan Republic. The delegation comprised 150 participants representing all services and economic sectors and was headed by his Excellency Dr. Anwar Gargash, State Minister for Foreign Affairs. The visit is geared towards fostering cooperation between the two countries at this transitional stage when the Libyan Republic can benefit from the experience of the UAE in all areas.
Representing the Federal Authority at this two-day visit was Mr. Ali Hassan Al Gawi, Acting Executive Dir5ector of The Support Services Mr. Abdallah Al Asmawi, Director of Organizations and International Relations at the Authority. The meeting was convened at Corinthia Bab Africa Hotel in the capital Tripoli.
The Libyan delegation, headed by Abd Al Razag Jumaa Al Tammam and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation for Capacity Building Afairs, met with the Federal Authority representatives who discussed with their Libyan counterparts issues related to civil service, human resources, and administrative development. They conveyed the greetings and directives of H.E Hamaid Al Qatami , Chairman of Board of Directors and Dr. Abd Al Rahman Al Awar, Director General of the Federal Authority.
The participants discussed and exchanged ideas on topics related to bilateral cooperation, the scope of benefiting from the UAE experience- a pioneer in the development of human resources and investment in the human element. They also reviewed briefly topics of common interest , responded to queries relating particularly to legislation, policies of Human Resources, strategies of the Federal Government , and human resources systems prepared by the Authority and its successful experience and practices in this field such as the Human Resources Club.
The Libyan delegation received a number of publications, periodicals, and copies of systems and programs operative at the Authority and were really impressed by the remarkable progress which the UAE has made in the fields of human resources , the efficiency of the public service and the dedication and interest in developing manpower.
Sayed Ali Al Gawi stated that the purpose of this visit is to provide aid and support to brothers in Libya and contribute towards the rebuilding and rehabilitation process and confirmed the necessity for cooperation between the two countries and boosting efforts at all aspects to the mutual benefit of both. He also stressed the need for sharing the experience, the expertise and the capabilities of the UAE to set the grounds for a strategic partnership.
