How should I use keywords?

Use keywords that are as specific as possible. For example, if you want to search about a page, use the “word page” not “a pages” “and pages” etc…

FAHR: social media channels provide interactive communication with the public around the clock

Mahmoud Al Marzouki, Director of Government Communication Department at the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR)) stressed the paramount importance FAHR accords to effective communication with its customers and partners, especially the Federal Government employees, through all traditional and modern communication tools, including social networking sites in particular.

 

He said: "FAHR is seeking to keep abreast of new developments in this area in order to reach out to the public and communicate with them round the clock, in response to the directives of the UAE’s wise leadership, led by His Highness President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and his brother His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai”.

 

Marzouki added that the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources use a range of social media channels in addition to its website and periodic publications, including: Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn, and is exploring the possibility of finding more communication means to keep up with new technologies that help in achieving its objectives and, therefore the Human Resources Strategy in the Federal Government.

 

"There is no doubt that these tools and other channels of communication with the public such as the toll free number 600525524 and the Online Help Desk  have greatly helped in improving improve the work system, as well as raising the level of services, and facilitating quick access to the public”, Al Marzouki said.

 

The Director of Government Communication confirmed that FAHR is doing its utmost to strengthen communication and cooperation with its partners and customers including federal and local government institutions, private sector, the media and society, through interaction with them via special accounts on social networking sites, such as: YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and "Twitter", reaching nearly 14 thousand followers.

 

FAHR is giving a special importance to social networking channels, according to Al Marzouki, as an interactive platform of connecting with the audience, and means disseminating journals, specialized topics, invitations, images and comments about the activities and events organized by FAHR. More importantly, these media platforms are used in raising awareness about the HR laws and policies applied in the Federal Government,  and providing timely responses to quires  raised by followers.

 

He stressed the importance of social networking sites in creating strong interaction with customers, and two-way communication rather than having institutions dictate their views without hearing other voices which may carry useful suggestions that may contribute to improve services and promote institutional work and lead to more effective and transparent participation.
