The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has concluded a free of charge training program under the title:” Methodology for Strategic Training” which targeted a number of directors in HR , training and strategic planning and institutional excellence departments within federal government ministries and entities. This training program came as part of the “Ma’arif” Initiative for preferred training partners of the federal government which was launched by the Authority last year and is considered one of its kind at the federal government level. The Initiative have compiled a list involving the best training providers within UAE and made it available for federal ministries and entities to make use of their training programs at very competitive prices.
The main objectives of the training program, organized by FAHR in collaboration with the Center for Management Integrated Solutions which continued for two days, were to familiarize the participant trainees with the impact of business strategies upon the type and quality of the required training within any given institution; how to formulate the training objectives to align appropriately with strategies of internal and external growth of the institution and develop knowledge and skills of participants which are relevant to the phases of strategic training methodology and training them on the best methods for formulating and applying indicators for measuring the efficiency of strategic training.
The training program have addressed a number of topics including the relationship between strategic thinking and strategic training; business strategies and the various types of strategic training and the impact of strategic training on the work environment and its role in creating conducive work atmosphere characterized by transparency, productivity and positivity. This would entail augmenting employees’ loyalty, increasing their productivity and motivate them to improve their performance in order to achieve both individual and institutional objectives alike.
The training session presenter stressed the importance of alignment between the strategic directives of the institution and its strategic training, and the need to understand the various strategies of human resource planning, and their impact on the system of training and development.
