His Highness, Sheikh Sultan Ben Mohammed Ben Sultan Al Qassimi, the Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah attended on 31st January, 2012, the signature ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources and the Human Resource Directorate of Sharjah Government, at the Office of HH the Ruler.
The memorandum of understanding was signed on behalf of FAHR, by HH Humaid Mohamed Al-Qatami, Minister of Education, Chairman of the Board of Directors FAHR, and HE Tariq Sultan Ben Khadim, representing the Directorate.
HH Al-Qatami welcomed the conclusion of the memorandum between FAHR and Sharjah Government, and confirmed that the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources will endeavor to foster this cooperation and fully implement the memorandum.
HH said that the Authority will spare no effort to share its vast experience in the area of human resource legislation and policies, as the Authority has already launched many pioneering, high profile initiatives and projects aimed at the development of human resource. He expressed his pleasure as this cooperation will promote integration of roles between HR players at the federal and local levels to the best interest of the country and its citizens.
Al-Qatami praised the level of concern shown by Sharjah Government, represented by HR Directorate about the development of Nationals in the emirate, employed or jobseekers, so that they are empowered to play effective roles and take up important positions in the labour market. This, he added, will further reinforce the Federal Government’s strategy, help realize the UAE Vision 2021, and meet the aspirations of the wise leadership, the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Ben Zayed Al Nahyan and Their Highnesses members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates, who place human capital at the highest priority, as it represents the corner stone of sustained development at all levels.
Finally, HH Al-Qatami praised the efforts of HE Tariq Sultan Ben Khadim in the field of human resource issues, ensuring that FAHR is always ready to assist in all matters relating to HR development, and hoping the memorandum will set grounds for continued cooperation in this field.
HE Tariq Sultan Ben Khadim, on his part, stated that Sharjah emirate “is an integral part of our beloved Union”, hence the directives of HH Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah to apply rules and systems implemented at the federal level to Sharjah Government employees as far as possible.
He said that the HR Directorate is closely cooperating with FAHR, and that the memorandum of understanding concluded at the Office of the Ruler in the presence of the Crown Prince truly reflects this constructive and fruitful cooperation, adding that the memorandum will pave the way for unifying HR regulations and executive decisions, as well as joint training policies and programs and exchange of experience.
HE Tariq Sultan Ben Khadim commended the role of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources through various initiatives to develop human resources at the Federal Government level, and its efforts to transfer knowledge and experience to the local governments to serve the objective of achieving the UAE Vision 2021.
He expressed his thanks to His Highness, Sheikh Sultan Ben Mohammed Ben Sultan Al Qassimi, president of Sharjah Executive Council for closely overseeing the conclusion of this memorandum and supporting it by attending the signature ceremony.
He also thanked HH Humaid Mohamed Al-Qatami, for his continued efforts to create venues of cooperation between the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources and the Government of Sharjah in the field of HR development, and for his important role in the attempts to update the HR systems to comply with the ever-changing international developments.
His thanks were also extended to Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Awar, the Director General of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, for his cooperation and the outstanding role he has been playing to enhance the National human resources in UAE.
The memorandum signature ceremony was attended by Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Awar, the Director General of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, HE Consultant Mansour Mohamed Ben Nassar, Director of Legal Department at the Office of the Ruler, and a number of representatives from FAHR and the Directorate.
