The Human Resource Statistical Bulletin in the Federal Government for the second quarter of the year 2014 issued by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, revealed that the Ministry of Health had the lion’s share in terms of appointments among the federal entities operating the Human Resources Management Information System ‘BAYANATI’, registering 127 appointments out of 285 in 29 ministries and federal bodies operating BAYANATI System. These figures include the general staff, in addition to judicial cadre in the Ministry of Justice, diplomatic cadre in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as civil and military staff in of the Ministry of Interior, and exclude those who are employed as experts and advisers in most federal bodies.
The Ministry of Interior ranked second with 21 appointments, followed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with 20, Ministries of Education and Environment and Water, with 19 and 11 appointments respectively, while the remaining percentages were distributed among the rest of the ministries.
The Statistical Bulletin also showed that females make up 39% of the workforce in the ministries and federal authorities, or 33,411 employees, of whom 32,769 occupy basic jobs, compared to 642 in support services jobs. Males constitute 61% of the total workforce, amounting to 52,767, including 12,678 support services employees.
The number of workers in the Federal Government in the second quarter of this year reached 86,187, according to the HR Bulletin, 72,858 of them in basic jobs and 13,320 in support services.
